We stumbled on Belle Amie by happy accident. We arrived in Bourg at lunchtime, and wandered around the town looking for somewhere to get a drink and a bite to eat. As is often the case in France, at lunchtime everything is shut! On the way back to the car park by the port we spotted a sign and followed our noses. Belle Amie was not only open but a pure delight. A quirky set up with the kitchen in the hull of a boat and a restaurant made from shipping containers. The menu was simple but imaginative, the food, drinks, service and atmosphere all excellent. Well done Belle Amie, we wish you every success

Fantastic discovery.We came from Bordeaux to rest for a few days in Bourg and our host recommended this restaurant to us.On the banks of the Dordogne.Calamari, duck,… super tasty.And a beautiful local wine.Chateau de la Grave.

A great discovery. A very pleasant, atypical little place, located on the banks of the river with a concept of “tapas to share”. We had a very pleasant time. The staff is friendly, available and smiling.
